Let us remember the great Duck Man:
Feminist lady: we demand change.
Crowd: yea
From now on, congress man will be congress person
yea
And police man will be police person
yea
and mail man will be person person
yea
and man hole…. will stay exactly as it is
YEA!
Now it’s apparent that she only sends friends flasks. The dwarf showed support, made the cut. The elf didn’t want to get into any non game related issues. That’s cool. Get your own flasks. We only play this game together, not share personal things, thus we’re not friends. Just two people who see one another in passing.
considering Zhusen’s personality i dont think it was an intentional snub. Probably she was spending the hour or two a week it takes to farm mats for people. She usually only has enough free time so she gives them to the best people in the guild (such as one of the top dps Theron) to help the guild out as much as possible. She was probably doing it and realized she wouldnt have time for everyone. So she was sending the last batch out and was considering Theron but remembered his mercenary attitude, and then thought about the other dps in the raid. No doubt with his legendary Murd is right behind him if not above him. So while Zhu’s subconcious was indeed uncomfortable with giving free stuff to someone who wants it known they arent friends, that it would be easy for someone to use the excuse of “he can probably get his own” and “maybe it would be better for Murd, especially since he’s a kid and doesnt have time to get his own.’
this coming from someone whos anxiety isnt debilitating but is often affected by sudden emotions. Like how i will often leave game at the end of a good match in Overwatch cus i cant handle the idea of people wanting to stay as a team cus i did well, and then know i Have to do JUST as well or i’ll disappoint them.
Ehhh. Still going with Murd as just decent, or above average even with his legendary. Meanwhile Theron is probably one of the top five rangers on the server. If Murd was good, he would have been on the rain team in Order of the Swords. Then Theron traines him up in PVP. So he’s getting better. Besides that fact, the other rogue was almost as good as him despite a massive gear gap even before the legendary if you recall.
Tbh this arc is making me like Murd a lot more. He has gone from ‘annoying brat who needs to learn some manners’ to ‘awwwwwwweww ok kid you’re cool, you can hang with us. Here let me teach you the ropes.’
… and nooooo my age doesn’t show at all with those lines of thought.
Like he might be a little jerkoff but gosh darn it he has basic human decency and consideration when it’s not about meters and being the biggest kid on the block.
Theron doesn’t want to bother with a touchy gender nonsense subject and now he has to be left out because he didn’t join in the circle of “Yays!”?
All the man wants to do is play the game, why can’t people understand that? He addressed he has no issues with it, he just doesn’t want it to interfere with his hobby, and it shouldn’t. Stop making a big deal out of it.
Little dose of reality people, it’s perfectly fine to not want to be emotional support for someone over a game. But if you take that rejection and use it to spite someone, then you’re the jerk.
I don’t think it’s that he didn’t join the circle of yays…looks at Murd’s reaction and he still got them. It’s that Theron wasn’t even willing to talk about it at all. I think Zhu could’ve deal with being made fun of(though likely expected it from Murd) or even someone who didn’t agree with her choice and then asked to never bring it up again. The entire rest of the guild treated her like a person if not a friend…Theron didn’t want to
“The circle of yayys” used to be called “manners”. As in,
A: “Hey, I’ve got this issue I wanted to tell you about.”
B: “Okay, go ahead.”
A:
B:
A: “…and that’s about it.”
B: “Okay, thanks for letting me know.”
It literally costs nothing to listen politely, and to be polite about what another person would like to tell you.
Also, “touchy gender nonsense” — LMAO. If it’s nonsense, how can it be “touchy”? Nonsense shouldn’t even hit the radar for something that you need to remember to be polite about: “In grade school, I was fourth-place paper airplane maker. Also I like grape Kool-Aide. Also, frongo disbrapsis cock-a-doodle-doo.”
Because the fact that Theron had to lecture Zhu, who was doing him a favor giving him a heads up about how her means of address over chat was gonna change, about how he didn’t want to deal with “issues”- the only one who made it a issue btw was him.
Yeah Theron was a jerk first, surprisingly you can’t be a jerk and expect to be treated like a friend after. It’s not like Zhu wanted to have long convos about gender identity with him, geesh
There was no lecturing involved. In fact, this was Theron at his most honest. He told you how he felt about it. Absolutely no one is required to make feel good comments about anything. Society these days feel like it’s okay for Zhu to get validation ‘cuz she’s got the issues, but Theron can honestly just get rolled over because his stance is not “trending”.
I totally agree with one small caveat.
Theron has to deal with the consequences of his choice as everyone does with their choices. We haven’t really seen what his reaction is yet but I hope he takes it in stride, cause he made a stand he has every right to take but you can’t just take a stand and expect everyone to love you for it. Espicially the person you took a stand against.
Another amusing avatar lineup in the comment section :). Hoping his reaction actually furthers his introspection on how he acts/treats others like we’ve seen in the past with Murd and his role on the arena team
It’s not like Zhusen to intentionally cut someone off like that. I’m calling that she forgot or maybe sent it to the wrong person and Theron thinks it’s because he may have been a dick, thus pulls all kinds of silly crap.
Mm. Deliberately avoiding the use of any pronoun for someone who’s out to everyone in the channel, while not necessarily a red flag, means it’s probably worth keeping a closer eye on Theron for a while.
Karma, bitch!
Well…….who wants to guess what will happen now?
Passive aggression like a cricket ball to the crotch, no box.
This is what happens when Zhu spends to much time on Farmville.
Also: must resist “no mail” joke.
Oh no
Now all I can think of are the many different shitty applications of one glorious pun. I’d have to rate the pun……. Ten/Ten

“I can’t remember what it was like being around non-men…”
Zhusen finally grew a spine eh?
Robin, I love your hover text. The sitcom audience in my head was doing exactly that as I read this.
Yeah, always enjoy those.
So the previous panel is making more sense.
“Zhu sent me flasks!”
“She sends everyone flasks…”

Well well well, what do we have here?

Agreeing with OP to be clear

I think it’s adorable that Murd’s sitting on top of the mailbox.
“oooohhhh”
I cant believe nobody else did this yet >.>
Hmm . . . Theron was the one who noticed Orhan’s crush on Sharah. If he decides this is evidence of something similar, I wonder how he’ll react?
(Flask-wise, I doubt it’ll be terribly hard for him to get what he needs.)
Mm. Deliberately avoiding the use of any pronoun for someone who’s out to everyone in the channel, while not necessarily a red flag, means it’s probably worth keeping a closer eye on Theron for a while.
ohhhhhhh (but like in that lower “ooooh” that someone makes when something clearly bad and low-energy happens)
