Jeez, this is like mixing the rare drop rate of Baron Rivendare’s skeleton mount and the 4 dragons of nightmare! But Keran seems to have great luck. Getting that murderous PvP rogue to drown, looting the rarest pet in the game. I think she’ll be fine….maybe.
Well, he’s in her guild, and I assume he’ll have Vedrana and Lysandra on him if he does something to her, plus there’s no direct gain for him from doing it, so I don’t see why he’d think it worth the trouble of going against her.
Despite his trolling in having her farm tin for him, he seems to have a soft spot for Keran. I’d be willing to bet an opposing faction player trying to tag her rare will rapidly find itself turning into a pincushion.
Don’t get me wrong, Arcturis is a long cooldown – but he’s hardly on par with the old Vanilla questline stuff this is a callback to. He spawns in one spot in the Grizzly Hills every 12+ hours, and has no special mechanics aside from being a bear. He’s not even part of the Frostbitten meta so he’s not picked up by completionists except hunters and people who enjoy being cruel to hunters.
Yeah, but he’s still camped by every hunter in the universe, and being able to realm-hop via the LFG tool made it worse. Oh, and let’s not forget that if you had any of the WoD gear on that pop a companion to fight for you…and you forget to take it off because, y’know, you’re not attacking or anything…the trinket is guaranteed to proc and kill the bear when you finally do manage to be there when ir spawns.
But yeah, you’re right. Compared to the old paladin and warlock mount quests, it’s easy. I went through both of those back in the day . I remember one of my guild leaders going “you only rolled a paladin for the free mount”…and I just laughed and laughed.
Try taming the Pandra Spirit beasts at level 90. While they have a short respawn timer, they are pain. One can heal itself, one is very fast, and the red one you can’t get too far away from or it starts shooting spikes at you. And you have to get their health down to 20% before you can tame one.
Um, Drake, I’ve got all three of them on my hunter. Didn’t have a single problem; they were the easiest tames I’ve done. Of course, I was level 90 in LFG gear…
Finally, Keran begins to see Vedrana’s point of view.

And I imagine if anyone tries to be a dick while she’s farming it, well… Theron is capable of being a much, much bigger dick.
Provided he’ll be on her side in the particular endeavour.

You have a point, he has shown her his Keran side.
(I’ll never stop)
Sandia, these are words crimes.
THEY WILL THROW YOU IN LANGUAGE JAIL.
You’re right, Robin. I don’t know if I’m ready to be put punder arrest. They’d eat me alive in the punitentiary!
Baron Rivendare, four dragons… and epic hunter questline, for the get despawn if attacked by someone else (even your pet).
Sounds like the dev who made that mount hated players.
“They want ‘challenging content?’ FINE. How’s THIS for challenging content, you @#$%S.”
And this is why I never played classic.
And the alt text speaks truth.
That reaches a level of tedium surpassing the Time-lost Protodrake.
I bet that Orhan seeks the same mount…
Yeah, but he would have made his guild members do it for him.
Er…yeah, they do make ’em like this, still. Ever try to get the very very rare WoW Hunter’s pet, Arcturus?
*shudder*

Great looking pet, though.
