How did nobody in this guild ever stage an organized rebellion against this dude before? I’ve seen guilds fall apart before for much less, especially on large servers, and it’s very hard to stop sometimes.

I think because it was such a successful guild and had such a monopoly on some aspects, people wouldn’t want to leave that, and for one so large it would be hard to find the numbers to form a proper coup in regards to the sheer mass of blind followers/followers who don’t agree/followers who don’t care/muh deeps/muh loot/muh bragging rights/etc

Not sure how long the game was going – if they were the first ‘big, epic, first-realm’ guild, that may have been a factor – there was prestige.

Though any guild that could balance RP time and getting all the materials to hit firsts in all this had some really effective management…. that was probably the old administration, though.

Or some people just weren’t clued in to how much of an ass he was. I joined one guild for no other reason then guild repairs were at 500g a day. My GM could have been Ghangis Khan for all i knew.

Or it could be as simple as the alternatives being worse.

The meetings, at minimum, had to contain the following: “on the cusp,” “synergy,” a comparison to a sports team, and a reference to “Firefly.”

Orhan: “On the cusp of our victory in this battleground we must all have the synergy to come together and win. Just like the Chicago Bulls in the 90’s we can be winners on this hallowed ground. And I will lead you for I am a great leader!”
      *stabs unarmed enemy*
      “A good leader.”
      *stabs unarmed enemy again*
      “Well a leader.”

As it was foretold, he who controls the epic is the chosen one to unite all Roleplayers under the PvE banner… Whetever they want it or not, they are just there for the loot for transmog and titles for immurshion.

The character looks the same, that’s all. Just an idea…twisted foreshadowing & Freudian reasons for trolling-to-revenge-duel-ganking & all that.

Though the fact that your avatar looks like he’s laughing maniacally isn’t helping. 😛

Am I the only person who noticed in the last panel that “epics” is an anagram of “spice”?

Now I have to go read Dune again.
