Kinda waiting for Vedrana to drop the bombshell of “and all this just because I didn’t want to be the RL girlfriend to someone I only met in an online video game.”
I just want to see the reaction of everyone around Orhan if that got out.
No really. Something very much like this happened in WOW long while back, heard by all over trade chat. This one guy got SO much heat from everyone on the server after it was broadcasted that he was trying to hook up IRL with this other player that tore him a new one over trade for all to enjoy how she didn’t want to ‘hook up irl’ with a stranger she met over a game that she knew little of who he was.
Am I the only one who has never cared about faction choice? Like, it’s a core game mechanic, I’m not going to insult somebody for being on the purple side if I’m sporting yellow.
I think its more like she’s using the faction thing to make fun of Whorhen to be honest.
Vedranna doesn’t seem like the kind of girl who takes this game that seriously these days, after she got burned in the first place way back then.
Back when I played WoW, I would sometimes use faction loyalty to poke fun at others and stuff, proudly waving the faction flag and going all “For the Alliance!” or “For the Horde!” depending on what faction I was on at the time, but it was usually in good fun, not anything truly serious.
The take of a group of PVPers dealing with mysterious pressure to avoid certain zones, deal with corpse camping and a bunch of broken skills? I dig it.
And those are only the kind words for her brother.
Orhan’s sister is Lysandra not Vedrana.
It would be super fucked if Orhan was getting revenge on his sister for dumping him.

Rational players would call him out on that crap.
Mind you, if his new cannon fodder is as toxically sexist as your average redpiller/4Channer/WoW playerbase these days, they probably don’t care.
Not even dumping him. He’s getting revenge for not wanting to date him in the first place.
Dude is legit an incel.
Perfect avatar!

And then battle for azeroth came rolling around….
Guild Wars 2 player, actually. We don’t have factions. Well, maybe we’ll have them again some day. I can’t wait for Cantha.
Vedrana really takes the faction thing amazingly seriously.

I dunno, she’s got a long history of comments (though it may be related to her deep love for open-world PVP)

It still feels like in good fun when its brought up. A bit of Roleplay on her part for extra comedic purposes.
That’s fair, and it’s also part of her drive to succeed; it’s a PVP server, therefore…
I fully expect that after XPboost is done, Robin’s next comic would be showing us things from the Legion’s perspective.

It’s a pyramid of hate.
