Miscommunication
Update 12/11: Hey gang, my PC’s been crashing a lot today, leaving me playing computer doctor instead of making a comic. So there won’t be an update tonight (Wednesday). Fingers crossed, I should have this fixed and a fresh comic up for you all on Friday.
Oh ho ho, did he just get Orhan to admit to password stealing within the game logs? Delightfully devilish, Castor.
And as we know castor loves to report people to troll them. Remember those ERP’ers at the inn he got banned? Also I feel like Castor is the type of troll who hates being handed a trolling opportunity, cause where’s the fun, for him, if he doesn’t do it himself.
Trolling Nahro is the best trolling opportunity, and Castor knows that.
Orhan apparently thinks that “trolling” means “kicking while down”. Well, I suppose it is, in the sense that neither is likely to make you any friends.
Well, most examples of trolling I’ve seen contain SOME kicking while down.
I wanted to say that Orhan is mean, but Castor can be, well, is, too. It is, however, a different kind of mean.
Castor isn’t out to kick while down. Instead he will create situations, typically well outside the expected normal, then enjoy the fall-out. Like using Kiran’s thank-you to trigger a greed response in onlookers. Or he’ll just refuse to help, like in the shed in the woods. Or he’ll be hopelessly in the way, like as the janitor in the arena. This might still cause serious damage to the victims, but he doesn’t care about that.
What he doesn’t do is bring someone down then start kicking. Orhan is made out of that, so I’m fully expecting Castor to leverage that to hang him good. Not out of any sense of justice, but because it’s such a juicy target to turn into a backfire cannon. Orhan has buttons and Castor has a compulsion to push.
All of which is why he’s up on the battlement with popcorn while everybody else is clashing below, with Orhan’s friends apparently set to receive a drubbing. Thus also why gifting Theron a set of gear with a silly string attached.
Explains a lot about him, doesn’t it?
It’s the difference between a griefer and a troll.
Oh, I cannot WAIT to see Orhan get banned. Of course, that DOES make me worried he might take this fight into the real world.
I think the only one near him locally is maybe his sister.
But woooooow I did not think he’d be that stupid to literally admit to the entire plan in one easy to screenshot blurb.. that is stupid on a level we rarely get to see.
But it is TROLLING on a level that I think peaks Castor’s previous successes.
The fun part is that he’s going to probably use his new guild to spam the forums with this screenshot to the point that orham will have to quit and just play Futhark Online.
Get bad guy frustrated enough to not think about what he’s typing, check. Get him to admit to illegal activity(or at least activity against the game’s ToS, depending on how he stole the password), check. Play stupid while he outs himself because he clearly doesn’t know you as well as he thinks, check. One more step for the perfect troll that Nahro did help set up…just on himself ;P
Nahron forgot the One Major Rule:
Never, ever, engage in a pissing contest with a master troll.
Ignoring the master stroke at work, what did Orhan THINK he did with that getup?
…And the bait is taken. Castor has caught his victim and will be getting them rightfully banned shortly.
One thing that Robin has shown us about Castor is may be a troll but he stays within the rules. For those who break the rules, he trolls without mercy, and get the authorities involved to punish the wrongdoers. I’d be surprised if Castor isn’t working for the game company as a moderator.
Pretty sure the guy griefing people in battlegrounds isn’t a mod. At least he would not be for very long. He’s trolled plenty of people who simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
No question Nahro has messed up in a big way. He richly deserves what’s coming to him.
If Ion and Fargo have taught us anything,. its that devs can be assholes to the player base.
Mistakes were made.
Wait…did he….just call the biggest troll in the game a moron? To his face???
I like to think of castor as total chaos. He really doesn’t know what he’s going to do from one day to the next. You don’t want a person like that suddenly noticing you more than anything else.
Oh castor is VERY smart, and way smarter than you Orhan… sorry, NAHRO
