Was it not obvious that this was going to happen? Even the multiple, given that’s been a thing since… Cata, MoP? Which this expansion is supposed to mimic.

Yep and you can’t sell them. Just delete and whomever took his stuff never checked the stables for pets.

Wait, I’ve never played WoW. I’m confused about how pets work in this game.

In most MMOs I’ve played a pet is something you summon and unsummon when done, kinda like Vedrana with Cubert. But Theron seems to have a stock of pets, each with this super bomb on them (I’ve read all about the WoW bomb thing, so no need to explain that part).

Whoever hijacked Thereon’s character wasn’t thorough (or didn’t play a Ranger). Its possible they could have released all his pets into the wild.

In WoW, casters summon individual elementals from the elements. Not sure why Warlocks are the same, but they don’t use a “Dedicated” pet template, just a generic pet.

Hunters, on the other hand, tame their own pet, and that pet remains specific to the hunter with stats, talents, etc. Combine that with fun bugs such as keeping a boss’s detonate debuff even when unsummoned, and hunters have a lot of interesting tools for fun.

Yeah, but the bombing pet is a finite resource now, as it has been fixed in WoW and, apparently, in RoQ.

Not sure if it’s been fixed… but you do only have five pets to summon at a given time, and he’s currently not in a position to go back in and “recharge” his wolf supply from the boss.

Hunters, with multiple individual pets, also were famously able to take advantage of a bug where a raid ‘bomb’ effect was kept lingering on a pet until the counter went down when resummoned.

The trolling implications have been covered in comic.

It was possible, I believe, for other pet-users, but harder to manage since you couldn’t use the pet in the meanwhile and you had one versus a ‘stable’.

Actually, hunters had to manually take pets out of stables at this time, they were not able to keep multiple pets out until at least cata. Possibly MOp, which had fixed bugs like these at that time to prevent this.
