I think Theron’s not getting involved because he can’t or doesn’t want to handle the drama. He was drawn to have a very reluctant face when telling her about the situation. He seems to be the kind of guy who enjoys the anonymity of the game.. and gets very uncomfortable when things get too ‘real’
Dont know how he will react on the next page! but I’ll admit my gut reaction was to feel bad for him. No excuses for future action but there are plenty of men out there so screwed up by society they dont know the proper way to deal with situations concerning people they are attracted to.
All good villains have a spark of goodness that made them feel victimized enough to become a jerk in overcompensating defense.
