      The result is ultimately the same.

      Guild Wars’ loot table isn’t restricted by the boss, so you can get almost anything, which considerably widens the range of drops that are shit you can’t use. I got 4 Champions downed just last night, and I got 0 drops equippable by my character. You just end up vendoring more stuff.

        Most people get gear in GW2 by crafting.

          So then why does the “loot per individual” even matter?

            I wasn’t referencing GW2. Most MMOs no longer follow the original WoW model for loot, even WoW itself. The Looking For Raid system delivers loot for each individual rather than the group. Usually though, you get like 16g rather than loot though. Same with scenarios in WoW. It looks like they are moving away from the old model in the next Xpac. I was more or less just laughing at WoW for having such a terrible loot system compared to more modern MMOs.
