The moral is that bubbles are awesome!

I don’t think Zhusen had too bad a time, he did participate in a cool treasure hunt, got new friends (sort of) and battled overwhelming odds of Legion soldiers for lolz, laughs, giggles (and survival) 😀

Poor Orhan, that mount doesn’t match his armour at all.

It’s a nice-looking mount though. I wish my paladin had glyphs on his charger in WoW.

I like how Theron got the lute anyhow.

They’re going to make lutes usable by rangers in the next patch — and yes, I say this from 2021, after the comic has technically ended XD

That is an awesome mount – the alt text is very true. 🙁

Slander! He knew the dangerous and beloved MuderBane was coming and set up a bubble. Luck had nothing to do with that (and assuming the probabilities are locked in place, Keran would have won the mount if she pulled first which they for sure would have).

I have no clue how bubbles work and why you wouldn’t have them on 24/7 though.

From previous incidents – bubbles seem to last a short period of time, and if they’re like their WoW forebears – have a loooong cooldown before they can be used again.

But then, so is the cooldown on the magic stone that returns you to the hearth of an inn

To add to what Remor said, in World of Warcraft, Paladins had an ability that made them essentially invincible for 8 seconds called “Divine Shield.” In early WoW, there was no way to remove a Divine shield from a player. The hearthstone, the item that allowed you to return back to a Inn in a city, had a shorter cast time than 8 seconds (6 I think). This enabled paladins to “bubble” (the nickname for Divine Shield) and use their hearthstone to escape virtually anything.

Eventually the hearthstone cast time was lengthened to 10 seconds in later expansions. Also, a few abilities that could actually break a paladin’s divine shield were added to priests and warriors. Iirc, they may have lowered the hearthstone cast time back down.

But you can’t actually have the bubble up forever. It’s more likely Orhan bubbled to prevent getting hit by AOE as his legion friends mowed down OCW.

Actually, the bubble was 10 seconds and the hearthstone was 8. Then they lowered the time of the bubble.

I’m waiting for the payback on this one.
