This reminds me of Detect Magic spamming Horde priests in neutral towns back in Classic WoW on a PVP server when Dispel Magic was both defensive and offensive. Cast Detect Magic. Priest casts dispel on self. Cast Detect Magic. Priest tries to dispel on self. Cast Detect Magic. Priest dispels Arcane Intellect. Neutral quest hub guards club/shoot/stab the priest to death. My mage sits in the inn until the priest comes back.
