    There’s a Dungeons and Dragons spell known as Glitter Dust that does exactly this and blinds on top of it (though the blind usually doesn’t last very long.) Caster’s tend to use it long after every other spell of its level is obsolete. It only really obsoleted when the Wizard picks up Invisibility Purge.

    I like the idea that he basically threw the glitter behind him and poofed out – and it worked fine.
